About Donna & Her Practice
Ms. Byrd represents banks, financial institutions and other creditors in commercial loan workouts and debt restructuring efforts. Donna is also responsible for documentation and negotiation of commercial transactions in both the work-out context and also in the context of traditional commercial lending, and represents sellers and buyers, individuals, estates, privately held entities and public corporations, landlords and tenants, owners’ associations, lenders, developers and health care operators in commercial real estate matters. Ms. Byrd has previously represented a regional lender in Small Business Administration lending.
Matters have included leasing, mechanics’ lien law, 1031 like-kind exchanges, zoning, survey, permitting, licensing, access, residential and office condominiums, residential development, preparation of development and sales documentation, organization of owners’ associations, preparation of condominium documents, preparation of covenants, conditions & restrictions, and other issues faced by clients in real estate transactions.
When not practicing law, Donna enjoys spending time with her family and enjoying Auburn football. Donna grew up in Troy, Alabama and attended Troy University for a year prior to transferring to Auburn University, graduating in 1986.
